Red Percher Hat for Special Occasions, Wedding Hat, Day at the Races Hat

Hat Collection Spring/Summer 2018

Whilst we are still in the throws of a very cold spell I have been eagerly designing hats for our latest collection.

This hat is perfect to wear to a wedding, day at the races, Royal Ascot and many other special occasions.

The hat was designed to compliment both a simple, elegant or statement outfit. One of my favourite materials to incorporate in a hat is leather. This percher has a number of small dainty bows made from beautiful textured leather.

This percher hats has been listed on www.etsy.com today, to take a look please follow the link, https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/AdrienneHenry/tools/listings/596130353

The Parisienne collection will be available to buy on line. Each hat will be made to order and in a variety of colours.

The cloches are also available to buy every Tuesday and Wednesday at The Apple Market, Covent Garden London. Many different cloches, headpieces and hats we make are available to buy here.

Wedding Style Guide: How to wear a hat to a wedding

Whether you are the mother of the bride or groom, the bride herself or just a guest wanting to make a statement, here is our guide to wearing hats to a wedding. The points listed below are just a guide, but ultimately we would always suggest you wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.

1. Hat etiquette/positioning
Ladies hats are traditionally worn on the right as dictated by old etiquette where the lady would wear her hat on the right, while her gentleman partner would wear his sword to the left, balancing each other out. Of course nowadays hats can be worn on either side as we no longer follow this etiquette, but you will generally find any purchased hat will be made to be worn on the right or with the decoration on the right. If you would prefer a hat on the left this is perfectly acceptable and a milliner will happily make one for you.

2. Hat proportion
The hat size should be in proportion with the wearer. If you are petite, a pillbox hat or smaller brimmed hat will probably suit…
